I never personally had any bad effects. I've read weight gain, nausea, and moodiness can occur, but that can also be from pregnancy or menstruating itself. Also I've heard you can get clots in the brain, chances of stroke...
All in all, birth control is a good alternative if you do not want a child. Condoms work well too if you REALLy don't want a child. USE BOTH if you are really concerned.
If you need more info, call the dr, or google it. But all in all my experience was good.

I know that they made me very moody. I also suffered from some nausea during the first few months I was on it. I think it was just my body adjusting to the hormones.

using fact beginning administration would not preserve you from STDs. in basic terms a condom can try this. it incredibly is large that your gf is on beginning administration, as you're genuine approximately it being extra powerful against being pregnant. in spite of the indisputable fact that oral beginning administration and different contraceptives, such using fact the beginning administration jewelry and photos, do no longer preserve you or her from STDs. Pulling out/chickening out (notwithstanding you opt to call it) is likewise for the prevention of being pregnant, no longer STDs. the only time it incredibly is secure to no longer use condoms is while the two one in each and every of you're monogamous and the two one in each and every of you have at present been checked for STDs and HIV/AIDS, and had unfavorable outcomes needless to say. notwithstanding in case you know you and your spouse have been monogamous, you are able to desire to the two be examined each and every 6 months just to make particular. undergo in concepts which you do no longer ought to have intercourse to get HIV/AIDS, and the final element you opt to do is supply your spouse an STD.
