I need help with helping my little brother with his homework?

Question

Here is the problem.

Think about what makes Halloween special. Design a recipe with at least 5 ingredients to make the best Halloween. Think about your 5 senses-what you see,hear, taste, smell and feel. Use your most descriptive language in describing your ingredients. You must include all 5 senses in your recipe.

What is it really asking for? I know the teacher doesnt want a real recipe of something. How can i explain this to a 9 year old?

So, sounds like teacher wants a recipe for a "fun Halloween" that appeals to all the senses .... so, sight (maybe scary decorations), sound (maybe scary noises), taste (sweet candy?), smell (the burning candle in the jack'o'lanterns, maybe), feel (maybe something like that silly game where you put your hand in a bowl of peeled grapes and someone tells you they are eyeballs!)

I think what the teacher is looking for is just a "recipe" of different Halloween-y type things that you might assemble for a fun Halloween party, and describe different things at your party and how they would appeal to each sense.

a 9 year old should have a good enough imagination to come up with something, but here are a few examples.....

see-a splash of fog, 1 whole moon, 2 cups of spider webs, etc.

hear-3 pinches of an Owl Hooting, 1 tsp. of a blood curdling scream, 6 tbsp. of an evil laugh

And so on and so forth.........Good luck!

maybe you should do a real edible craft to be different...like ants on a log. or make it spooky ants on a log somehow. but thats only three ingredients (celery stick, peanut butter in between with little raisin dots on top) im sorry. just a suggestion. good luck!
