Confusing. Are you possibly thinking of the phrase " to wake up the dead " like in Loud enough to wake up the dead.
Technically or not how can you wake up if you are dead?

Did you know that there is only one question you cannot answer yes to?

Yes it appears correct to me.

In a figure of speech it's right, waking up dead tired...

It depends on who you're speaking to, technically.

No, because you realize that you have passed through the death process, and will continue to do this until the needed changes have taken place. so you die, but don't wake up dead.

Yes - you can go to sleep and wake up dead (die in your sleep and wake up in the spirit world)

If in fact you died and woke up in the hereafter in the unchoice of places......I think you would wake up dead. On the other hand when a christian dies he/she passes from death to life....eternal life. It is how you view it, what you believe, and who agrees on everything???So what you believe I suppose is right for you.

Yes. If you believe in an afterlife presumably you will wake up "joyously dead"! Or very, very disappointed...

Perhaps. No one has come back from death to say what happens. Maybe it's such a good thing that no one wants to give it up and come back.
