I'm against the war in Iraq because the reason we went in has proven to be false. I'm against the war in Iraq because 100(!) young brave American soldiers were killed just this past October. I'm against the war in Iraq because like it or not it's becoming another Vietnam. We should be putting our time and energy into protecting the borders of America. By putting those billions of dollars into our transportation systems, our school systems, our cities and States. And our brave soldiers should be here at home where we need them. We've done all we can in Iraq. It's time to come home.

This war was only created as a diversionary tactic for the rich to become wealthier. If you will read the book "American Dynasty" you will realize this war was planned many years ago! Certain families have been in "BED" together for years. The Bush administration & all his cronies have sold all hard working Americans souls. You ever see any of their children in the military over there serving? Ask yourself too "Where have the other Bush brothers (of Jeb & George) lived for years & what are their jobs admidst all this ongoing chaos?

I was with him in the beginning. When a President tells me that a country has WMD's and is building a nuclear arsenal, then I had to grudingly admit we needed to go in. But, as soon as I found out that Bush knew ahead of time that the intel might be wrong and he went ahead and went in anyway? That was it for me. I could never trust a Commander in Chief who had no conscience about lying to the American people to wage war. He went in there with no plan for reconstruction and now we're in the middle of a burgeoning civil war over there. There were no terrorists in Iraq before we got there. Now the place is lousy with them, and that is thanks to George Bush. I can't forgive the President for not putting all our force behind obliterating Al Queda when we had the chance. He gave terrorists all over the world something to coalesce around and they have done so. He has no concrete plan for getting out of Iraq. His changed rhetoric is nothing but rhetoric - there are no policy changes. He gives the Iraqi govt a timeline with no sanctions or consequences if they don't meet it and their Prime Minister tells us to take a flying leap with our timeline. That's some progress for you. I'm sorry, but I think the Democrats need to take a shot at cleaning up this mess that King George has created.

Im against Iraq because after 9-11 Bush had the support of the whole country and he squandered it by invading a country that didnt attack us. We cant go around pre emptively invading countrys that dont follow UN resolutions when ourselves do not adhere to UN policies. Its just such a waste that people die there for this. Human lives, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, all these people are so expendable to this administration and they make it worse by not having a plan to win the war.

I have never supported the war in Iraq although I did support action in Afghanistan.

It is a preemptive strike that was not necessary.

A preemptive strike makes sense when a government is actively invading others or sometimes when they are actively arming if the threat of attack from them is eminent.

They were not attacking anyone. The UN inspectors said they were not arming. George Bush said that their threat to the US was not eminent.

Regardless of support for the initial actions. It would be hard for anyone to support the execution of these campaigns. I am speaking of malfeasance in the civilian head of the military. That being Bush and Rumsfeld. I am not criticizing the U.S. Military.

I HATE war. I fought two of them(Nam, Gulf 1) But this war is different. No Saddam had not attacked us but he had ambitions to do so in the future. So we got him before he had a chance to get us. He was supplying money to groups that were blowing up things in Asia & europe that killed americans. I am glad we went & got him . this country has a habit of running when the battle goes against us.We did it in Nam & Somila & now a lot of people want us to do it again. Why should countries like Sudan ask us for help if they know when the fighting gets rough we are going to run. To many people in this country look at the money it cost us instead of what we are trying to do in Iraq. To let the people deside for them selfs what they want & to do this with out the fear of a gun..

I was agains it from the beginning because there was no reason for it. The attack on USA came from Afghanistan, not Iraq.
I was against it because obviously many would die without necessity.
I continue to be against it as proof has come out that Bush and Blair have lied to their nations and to the world.
I am against it because of what it is doing to American soldiers, hardening them, bringing them to enjoy extreme bullying.
I am against it because it is dissipating American forces when they are needed elsewhere.

Those are the reasons I supported it. I am no one in line to support it or not to really, since no one in the states actually understands how things are going. I say we leave when the US generals say so. Not when Congress says so, not when Bush or the next president says so, not when the people say so, but when the US generals say so

I'm for the war in IRAQ.

And Bush never did lie about anything. If he did why don't you show us where.
