this is an extra credit problem for my intro to algebra class.
we're doing graphs so i think he wants it on a graph?

What in the heck does this have to do with newborns and babies?
I'm pretty sure the answer has to do with how the legs are spaced out on the stool to keep it from tipping. On a 3 legged stool, the legs would form a triangle, which is a very strong shape.

Three is better on an uneven floor because all three legs stay on the floor at the same time. With four there is always one off so it wobbles.

3 points can always be on a plane.4 points not so much. They can be, but not always.
