The product you want to use for under your arms is an anti-perspirant,as opposed to a deoderant. The antiperspirant discourages perspiration, as opposed to a deoderant which just covers up smell by preventing bacterial growth. That's the primary preventative. In addition, if the shirt is made of something like silk that stains easily, wear a t-shirt underneath it to make a barrier. There are underarm shields you can buy, but those are usually uncomfortable to wear.
If you do manage to soak the underarm area of a shirt, it needs to be washed that day, before the perspiration can attack the fiber of the cloth. It doesn't have to be a full washer deal, but can be simply a detergeant rinse in a sink. Treating the underarm area with a stain remover, like oxi-clean or spray and wash can help, but if the stain is already developed, it's difficult to remove. Another option is to use hydrogen peroxide, and letting the shirt sit in sunlight for a few hours. Peroxide has a bleach tendency, though, and will lighten some colors. Lemon juice works much the same way. The main thing is not to let the shirt sit for a week before you wash it, which will pretty much guarentee a stain sets. At least rinse out the underarm area after wearing a shirt, even if it will be a few days before it is completely washed.
Put your antiperspirant on and let it sit for a few minutes before you finish dressing. You can also use a talc or powder to add another layer of defense, and that can be put on during the day as needed. The powder will be another barrier to absorb any sweat you do produce. Another thing to consider would be trimming underarm hair back- if you are male and prefer not to shave. You don't have to shave, but trimming the hair back will help, and most folks won't notice it if they happen to view your upraised arms.

Use a strong antipersperent, for starts. If its already occures, try stain remover like spray n wash. Blech for white shirts. Also applying sometype of washer thing directly to the stain can work.

Hi, I would use a clear gel deodorant. If you still had stains, Oxyclean is great just add a little powder to hot water and it will take out almost anything, without having to scrub. It GREAT!!!

You can always do like guys do and wear a t-shirt underneath. They come in a variety of colors for women and are made to fit.
