Can I trade from Firered to Firered much earlier in the game than I can from Emerald?
I don't want to have to beat the game first in order to get more Pokemon.

in order to trade to emerald , ruby, sapphire you need to beat the elite four or when the big computer from island 1(maybe 3) is fixed.
in order to trade to another fire red you just need a first badge,a pokeball,twopokemon

Sorry, but you can only trade once you beat the elite four. and OF COURSE you can trade from one game to the other in the same series.
