Has anyone read The Bell Jar?

i just finished reading it and really enjoyed it.. however i am soo confused by the end! does she end up going back to a mental hospital after getting out of one? and the bell jar is referring to what?

the bell jar refers to the feeling that she gets like shes trapped under a big jar of stifling air. no one knows what happens at the end. we assume she gets out, and lives a productive life...but thats assuming.

its an amazing book.
