Is there a certain rank for light sabers?

I've played the game Knights of the Old Republic and in it there wasn't so much of a rank difference as a class difference. I don't know if this applies to the movies or not. What I mean is no color meant the jedi was any better, the different colors were a marks of you're class of Jedi. Guardian was green I think and Red is always a dark Jedi. Hope this helped.

There is no rank for Light Sabers just Jedi . The colors red and bronze colors are usually associated with the Sith.Purple, turquoise, yellow, blue, and green colors are usually associated with the Jedi.Orange, silver, pink, white, gold, and viridian typically do not represent either side.

My son is a star wars freak ans he says that you get a light saber as soon as you start training for jedi... So the rank would be apprentice..

I do not think so. There is not anything mentioned in the movies. Is there something written about it in a book or somewhere else I am not sure. My answer would be no.
