CNN is old and played out. Same goes for the New York Times. Nobody wants to listen to anything they have to say, so in order to keep an audience, they resort to airing terrorist propaganda. By the way, the reason the terrorists gave CNN that tape was because CNN promised to give them "a fair shake". That is unexcusable and I believe can be called treason. FOX news all the way!

CNN is a worldwide news organization and as such I don't think it can be accused of being unpatriotic. Yes, it is based in the U.S. but it should report events with a world perspective, just like the BBC for example. Any credible news organization shouldn't have any opinion; it should just present the facts and let the viewers or readers make up their minds. Whether those facts are biased in one way or another is a whole other debate.
