You are really confused about what a working wage is and what welfare is if you think $16/hr is pennies. A lot of people earning that are enjoying a decent style of living and have pride in what they do.

Wah! Wah! Wah! I wish I made $16/hour. I barely make $9 and we make too much to qualify for welfare. Not that that is bad or anything. Not everyone on welfare is a lazy good for nothing. With min wage only $5.15 here in TX, I'm glad I make what I make for working in a restraunt.

that would be dumb because you are going to get even less on welfare and thats not what welfare is all about there are alot of people who make way less then what you do and are working hard so if you want to quit quit so that someone who deserves to get that pay

$16.00 an hour. . . shoot I wish I made that much. . . I've been assistant manager for a year (today) & im getting paid $9.50 an hour. . . imagine how I feel. .

here in california i know many workers are making 7 per hour so you are doing quite good
