1) 3x^5 + 4x - 7, x = 1
Just replace x with 1
3(1^5) + 4(1) - 7
= 3 + 4 - 7
= 0
2) 7x^3 - 2x^2 + 1, x = -1
Just replace x with -1
7(-1)^3 - 2(-1)^2 + 1
= -7 - 2 + 1
= -8

i'm bit confused...
if the questions is
(3x^5)+4x-7
then ansewer is
240.
but if its
3x^(5+4x-7)
then its = 9

similarly
(7x^3) - (2x^2) + 1
= -338
