On current pace, he would need to play another 13 years to break it, considering he is 26, thats up to 39. Thats hardly too old.

Ignoring pace, because its useless, If he stays healthy he can give it a shot. He could play until early 40's, probably as a DH.

He only currently has 506 to go, and 2006 was his best HR year ever..

It is too early to talk about him breaking the HR record, but given his young age and his power, someday you might.
