Okay, here are some ideas...
1) Door-to-door donations
2) Bake sales
3) Find an artist who is willing to hold an auction and give some of the money to your non-profit cause
4) Host a family-friendly event with an entrance fee
If all else fails, babysitting can make a heckload of money.

you can try having a fund-raiser. I had just a small bake sale in my school and it brought in $300 in just two weeks. Maybe you could do something at a park somewhere or at a school or at your job.

I think that depends on the cause. But letting the media know might help?

bottle drives, car washes, bake sales, doing yard work for seniors who can't do it themselves? I don't know what else to suggest.
