Animals sense things alot better than humans do.

Here in Australia bush animals can sense if a major bushfire is gonna happen and this was proven on Ash Wednesday 1983 when a fox came out of the bush and scratched on the door of a house then ran back into the bush when someone answered the door

Most animals have much stronger senses than humans, so they notice small changes in the atmosphere sooner than we do. Think of that dusty smell you sometimes notice right before it rains? Any animals with a stronger sense of smell will notice it sooner. Some people get migraines when the barometric pressure changes rapidly. Many animals notice these pressure changes earlier than humans. Many animals also exhibit strange behavior immediately before an earthquake for these same reasons. Hope this helps :)

Animals know storm is approaching when they become very sensitive. Some insects like crickets become very sensitive when the weather changes.

It's all in the Official Animal Network... my cat told me all about it... the birds get told by the squirrels and then spread the word!

LOL... I think that they just don't have all the 'noise' of being a human that gets in the way of feeling what is happening to them.

My dog watches the Weather Channel (when he's not watching Animal Planet)...all he wants to do is watch tv and drink beer... the vet says he's gonna have a heart attack

My guess would be because they have a "6th sense" and because they still rely on it for survival for the most part.
