I've always thought the people who put down gays the most probably are gay themselves. I find it highly ironic and will more so if all the allegations prove to be true.

There are a lot more gay people in evangelical circles than the gospel churches would care to admit. I know of many gay men in those churches but, of course, they don't want anybody to know. Things will come out in time, and their hypocrisy will be exposed, revealing the weakness of their finger-pointing and intolerance.

Wow, thanks for the info. It just goes to show how real homophobia is in our culture. I think most homophobes are gay people that don't want to deal with their own sexuality, so they take that and turn it into rage. At least now maybe he can come to terms with his sexuality and become a hopefully become a better man. It's just sad, that men like him, are the ones controlling the beliefs of other people. It serves him right. I believe there are allot more people like him in all sanctions of religion and government. I guess they will learn the hard way. Be true to yourself and don't spread hate.

IF it turns out that the story is true (I'm holding off, pending further information)---there's going to be a lot of very embarrassed conservatives, and a lot of folk ready to start bashing on the basis of "hypocrisy".....and with good reason, in my opinion.

Going to be an interesting week in the news, for sure....

I always thought that Leaders of churches were all opposed to homosexuality.
I think that now they can't say mean things about gay people anymore.

This is what happens when honesty suffers for ideology, and suppression based in fear & denial takes the place of healthy, adult sexual expression.
