I bought a necklace and a matching bracelet for a close friend of my sister, whom I didn't know at the time of the purchase, but I was going to be introduced to.
I specially liked the bracelet and, when I eventually met her I quickly decided that she didn't deserve such a lovely and costly present. I managed to pull the bracelet out of the packet before handing it to her and I have been enjoying it ever since.
By the way, after knowing her better, I've never regretted my last-minute decision.

HaHa, yes all the time. Last year I went shopping like 5 times for my sisters birthday. I would by something get it home and decide that I couldn't live without it. I finally just got her a gift certificate :)
