Because the majority of them are far more affectionate than males are. Males are ashamed and/or embarrassed to hug other males (mostly due to society's upbringing) whereas females are the kinder, and gentler sex and so are not afraid to show each other that they are fond of them.

Girls aren't afraid to show their emotions. We show a lot more feelings and when we care about someone we show it. It would be nice if guys learn to hug girls more often. ( Who knows it might just lead to somewhere, wink, wink, if your lucky) :)

To show our affection for each other, to let the other know we are happy to see them, or when saying goodbye, to let them know we care. Guys are stumped by this behavior because you have different ways of showing affection, usually not associated with touching.
Or maybe we're just trying to bump boobs.

We're affectionate, love attention, and physical touch. Well, most of us. It'd be nice if guys would hug us more often! ;)

b/c we like to show our affection by hugging. like i hug my bff b/c we dont see ea. other and we miss ea. other i guess its just cuz we like to show our emotions
