I still love the Simpsons. They have lost some of their touch, but after, what, 16 or 17 seasons, you're bound to lose something. I still think the Treehouse of Horror's are the best things in the world. I'll watch the Simpsons until it ends and then I'll watch the repeats. And I will be that guy that goes to see the movie at least 3 times, it's the Simpsons, why not?

I'm not sure if I'm getting too old for The Simpsons or if The Simpsons is too old for me. I used to love watching the show, but not in the last two or three years. It's hard to keep a series fresh over that many years. I don't think it's written as topical as it used to be. It used to make jokes and pop culture references for people of all ages. Recently, it just doesn't seem to click. I am going to watch The Treehouse of Horror episode coming up this Sunday. I feel I owe the Simpson's that much.

I think it is getting ready to take a flying leap over the shark. Homer has always been silly, but now he is so over the top it isn't funny anymore. The first 7 seasons were very good. They have slipped a little each year. There should have been more Bart and less Homer!

it does seem like they're losing the touch thats why they're making a full lenght movie and calling it quits
