It's not recommended to douche while pregnant. Just keep the area clean and dry, and wear cotton underpants. If you have a yeast infection (creamy discharge, itching) it can be treated with a cream but only if you have passed your first trimester (13 weeks).

Most OB/GYNs and midwives will advise against douching during pregnancy. Studies have shown a link between frequent douching and low birth-weight babies. Douching near the time of conception also greatly increases the chance of ectopic pregnancy, which can be a life-threatening condition. (Ectopic pregnancy is when the fertilized egg attaches inside the fallopian tube instead of in the uterus.)
If you've already douched while pregnant, try not to worry too much. What's done is done. Chances are, you and your baby will be unharmed, but you may want to refrain from douching for the rest of your pregnancy to avoid any possible risks.

Douching is not safe anytime, pregnant or not but I would say absolutely not because when you douche, it forces bacteria back in. I would advise against it always but especially in pregnancy just to be on the safe side. Talk to your doctor but this is the advice I was given and what I learned in my anatomy and physiology class in college. I am going for nursing.

It's actually not safe or healthy to douche any time.
It changes the pH of your lady parts and makes you vulnerable to infections, including yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis.
The vagina is like a self cleaning oven. Keep it healthy and get checked out regularily and it will take care of itself!

no and to be honest douching isn't healthy at all if you get a lot of yeast infectons it's /c you douch douching throws your bacteria levels down there off

No. It can introduce bacteria into your vagina. It can also possibly give you a uterine infection which would affect your baby. Just use soap and water.

eww i WOULDNT!! do that!! alot of people dont even wear unatural make up!! be as safe as possible with ur baby if love it!!!! just use pads!!
