This data shows that we are on the course of destrcution and if we do not take steps now, humans will be responsible for bringing "the last days" of the world on themselves even without God's help. I guess this is what they call "self fulfiling prophecy." I read in many sacred books where they all said the food sources will start to get depleted in the last days and thats exacly whats happening.

The fact is nothing will be done and we are just slowly digging our own grave.

I heard it was published in journal Science, so I'm guessing its pretty serious study. I think eventually some measures will be adapted when you get this kind of warning from credible source.

No, it says that if we don't do anything different, the oceans will run out of fish. But based on supply and demand, if the supply goes way down and the demand is about the same, fishers will try to increase fish so they can get on the "high price" wave. Then, the levels will even out.

If fishers have nothing to fish, they'll have to change their ways. The issue is, will they change before it's too late. I'm sure they can. What you can do is to increase awareness of the problem and try to get legislation passed to protect the ocean. Or go out in a boat and protect fish yourself...hey, works for Greenpeace.

If you have a defeatist attitude, then THEY'VE won. They'll do what they want while you're too depressed to stop them. So stop worrying about what *might* happen and take action so it *won't* happen. This oceanic destruction is environmental terrorism, and if nobody acts on it, then the perpetrators will go unpunished and then people who care will just be miserable, sitting around saying, why oh why did they do that?

Terrorism assumes you're too overwhelmed to act. So prove them wrong. Stand up to them, tell them you won't accept what they're doing, and MAKE THEM STOP.

Or just mope around and do nothing. Your call. Because they won't stop unless somebody stops them...do you really want them to keep going because YOU didn't act?

If I know anything about Mother Nature, it's that she bounces back with a vengeance.

I live in Texas where there are lots of examples of progression/recession. Once paved parking lots now filled with trees, homestead overrun with wildlife and flora etc etc.

The oceans are vast and deep and wide open for fish to live in. Yes, it is a disturbing trend but there are always reports that pop up that state that we find species in places they shouldn't be or haven't been for a while.

The key word in the article is "wild". Fish reserves and hatcheries will become more commonplace, just like vegetable cloning is now. I'm sure you heard about bananas becoming extinct too.

It is sad but it will come down to supply and demand and prices..look at lobster for instance. I ain't paying $15 a pound for that guy. He'll survive.

You are right on one thing though: we are our own worst enemy.
