how do you make paper mache'?

paper marchies are like my major favourite projects. i learnt this recipe for paper marchie from neil buchanan- think Art Attack!

it's pva glue (its really white glue), water, and newspaper.
in a bowl, when you pour one scoop of glue, pour two scoops of water and mix them.

for instance, if you want to make an egg paper marchie.;
1) blow a balloon (not too big)
2) put bits of newspaper on one part of the balloon
3) spread the glue mixture on the newspaper
4) continue until the entire balloon has been covered
5) wait for this first layer to dry
6) poke a pin through to burst the balloon
7) create a second layer; use steps 2) to 4).

if you wish to paint this egg, continue ;
8) put pieces of white tissue on the newspaper layer
9) spread the glue mixture
10) continue until the entire object is covered with the white tissues
11) let it dry
12) paint! (acrylic is best)


basically paper marchie consists of that base for the shape of the object you are trying to create, balloon being the most common.

i dont know by heart but here's a way to fing out: go to any search engine and then search for paper mache it will give you the recipe. wen i made it i think i used flour water and glue but i dont remember

flour, water and newspaper
mix the flour and water then dip the newspaper in it and spread on surface that you want to paper mache

mix equal parts of water and white glue
tare paper into strips and dip them in the glue mixture. shake off excess glue and sculpt away!

It's messy. Go to Walmarts and buy a bag of the gray stuff and just add water.
