I know i have to wait for quite some time before im able to take a home pregnancy test for my hormone levels to provide an accurate answer.. but what about a blood test with my doctor? Is it true that you can only get pregenant on your most fertile days (ovulation)? We are working very hard at all of this and enjoying it all the same!!

I know it is sooo hard to wait! I am going through the same thing. Yes, you can only get pregnant when you ovulate. Sperm can live for up to 72 hours so having sex 2 or three days before ovulation can do the job sometimes! My Dr. told me that blood tests can detect pregnancy immediately after implantation which takes between 5-10 days after the sperm and egg meet and fertilize. Go to www.twoweekwait.com and click on early pregnancy symptoms and there is a lot of great info there. Women who are TTC write all of their symptoms for the two weeks after intercourse. There are many women who take a HPT at 10 dpo (days post ovulation) and get positives. Good luck!
