I identified as a lesbian up until recently... I'm not super-butch and I have a lot of "girly" interests (such as the muppets), but I like to dress in guys clothing, and I always feel good if I get mistaken for a man. I get kind of a high from doing drag. I've even chosen a male name for myself and I like it much better than my real name. Also, I feel like I kind of want to be "the man" in a relationship. The only thing is I don't think I want surgery or hormones... I'm more or less comfortable with my physical body.
So... what does that make me, then?

You're transgendered, and that rocks.
Transsexuals are people who feel such discord between their inner selves and their physical bodies that they need to modify such with hormones and surgery so that they match. They usually identify as one sex or the other, and stick with it.
Transgenders, on the other hand, usually identify as either both sexes, neither sexes, a 'third sex', or just a general mixture of masculine and feminine qualities. They fly against traditional gender roles. Even if they call themselves women or men, they are not masculine men or feminine women- they flirt with the other side (hence the 'trans', the crossing over of boundaries, in 'transgender'). It's a fantastic way of being, and I hope you enjoy it!
P.S.- since when are the Muppets girly?

This may mean that you are transgendered. Being TG has nothing to do with who you do, or don't, want to have sex with. That is sexuality. This is about your gender, about being comfortable within yourself. Go with the flow, maybe investigate some Trans communities--there will be a large one in any big city, may be some in smaller communities--and don't worry about it. Many TGs cross-dress (or "do drag") and never have the hormones or surgery, for many different reasons.

Hun, it makes you human...
It is a real blessing to be comfortable in your body. Be happy about that. If you want to express more male gender roles, go for it! It's your life, live it how you see fit! You don't need surgery or hormones if you don't feel so inclined. Actually, as someone who will need to take meds for the rest of my life, I'm a bit jealous! And surgery is no cakewalk either!
Be happy and be yourself. You are loved as you are!

who do you want to have sex with, guys or girls? if you want to be with guys, you are straight. if you want to be with girls, you are gay. if you like both, you are bi. you probably have much more testosterone than is "normal" for a girl, but so what. also...I am straight and married, but I totally take charge whenever I can and like to be the "guy" in the relationship--meaning, I pay the bills, I decide how to spend the money, I decide where we go when we socialize...I like to be the dominant partner but I am straight, so that doesn't mean anything...it's just a personality trait. the drag thing, though...that's not straight behavior at all....and choosing a male name....what do you identify as now? sounds like you are still a lesbian to me with more manly qualities or you feel more comfortable as a man...but if you are ok with your body and don't feel like you are a guy stuck in a girl body...I think you are just a butch gay girl...so what's wrong with that? no big deal. don't make any permanent changes to your body if you don't have to, you could end up regretting it later.
