Not a bad movie, but my friends got upset when I recommended it because they said it wasn't appropriate for their young kids. My bad. The story itself is okay, and I feel glad that the girl chose to learn and carry on her heritage, when it seemed like so many of the boys weren't even trying hard. I liked how at the end the new mother seemed to accept the girl and the two seafaring heritages (polynesian and Viking) were combined.
