Keep your eye on the ball. Young hitters when in the batter's box have tendencies to move their head on the swing. When you move your head, you take your eye off the ball, and usually miss it. Another reason for taking your eyes off the ball is fear the ball is going to hit you. Just keep your eyes on the ball, and your hitting will improve tenfolds.

Keep the play going and score the run. That's what a hitter should do. In other words, to be a good hitter, you can hit the ball, hit by the ball , or get walked. Do what offense should do

Ted Williams claimed he could see the ball hit the bat.I believe he is the only player who batted over .400 in a major league season.He played with Boston in the 40-50.He also served in WW2 and Korea and was still one of the dominate players.
