Brown eyes always look good using the colors one would expect best for lighter eyes, such as hues in the blues family, (i.e. purple, green, blue.) Lining your eyes with a nice plum or hunter green color will help to accentuate the golden hues in all brown eyes.
Of course, using a beige base before applying any color will help make any and all colors stand out, but be wary of any colors that naturally make your skin color look sallow.

I have brown hair and eyes, and I wear a shimmery, very pale lavender color or a shimmery pink. When I am going out on the town in the evening, I might wear a smoldering dark brown shadow, but just on the outer eye lid.

The best eyeshadow color for dark brown eyes and fair skin would be golds, neutral browns, and chocolate brown. Using cream eyeshadow adds glimmer to your eyes making then stand out more. Or add eyecream to your fav brown powder eyeshadow if you want long lasting wear without the shimmer. Enjoy!

try deep purples like TRAX from MAC. the color looks beautiful on brown eyes.
also dark golds and midnight colors.

i have brown eyes and i think purple looks good. on the eye lid use the darkest purple and graduate up on the lighter.

all the neutrals + black,but since you have fair skin you can 'play' with different shadows depending on the occasion and your 'mood',and lots of black mascara,

my face is kinda similar to your. i really like this MAX factor eyeshadow with yellow, green, and brown. i love it.
