Why is rap and r&b so interesting, i mean what do you like about it? I like rock because it shows the meaning of my life. Does rap do that for you?

rap are songs that get you moving and the lyrics they use are pretty good but as far as rap music now it sucks most of the "rap" music being put out is terrible thats why im an old school hip hop fan dedicated to lyricism but rap is good when your in the club having fun

Eminem is the only rap artist out now that can show you why people like rap so much. It's all about how you relate to an artist. "Rock" is a general category. Some people who like "hard rock" may not like classic rock or punk rock. Everything on the radio is just a bunch of old people who think they know what America wants to listen to so they shove it down our throats.

Why would you ask something like that? Everyone doesn't like the same thing.. I am ecclectic and I like all types of music, so just because you ain't feeling it, don't down it. If your opinion of listening to rock is cool because YOU feel it shows YOU the meaning of your life, then okay. People feel the same way of rap, country, bluegrass, blues, or whatever. And if you knew your history rock and roll was derived from... Rhythm and blues music... and it wasn't no white boy that started that either, it just branched off and evolved into something different. YOu must be young honey and you need to do your homework before you make a test tha tyou don't know the answers to.

rap usually has a message. but not fake *** rappers such as lil wayne. real rappers talk about real problems and emotional songs. rap gives a REAL message. rock and heavy metal is just screaming. it has no meaning. rap tells you that you can make it good even if your brought up in the worst of conditions

Not so much the meaning of my life, but it did relate to the things that I went through, and witnessed coming up in the Urban Jungle. Much of the so called Rap music of this generation is so fake and commercialized that I really don't see how anyone relates to it.

I guess it does it for some people. I like rock myself but listen to rap and r&b sometimes. Some of it is actually good in my opinion. But whatever suits your fancy.

r&b i love the lyrics and the beats and rap a lot of the lyrics relate to your life they talk about how it was in the ghetto for them which is like my life

no I hate rap and R&B but metal and rock definitely knows what I feel like and what I go through every day
