I was born and raised in No. California and have live in So. Cal for the past 20 years. I love both....but So. Cal is actually a little cheaper than San Francisco. I like the weather in San Fran better, not a real fan of the 100 degree weahher here sometime even in the middle of winter!! So. Cal does have more open space though...more nature. San Fran is very urban, all concrete! Cali does have it's downfalls: traffic, high prices, lots of people...but I would not want to live anywhere else!

Well, I think California is a very attractive state. I've been to San Diego and spent two weeks for work in San Francisco. San Francisco is a very exciting city and I could have stayed there for a month. The people were very friendly and open-minded which I liked. I would not live out there though. It's too expensive. What I would have to pay here in North Carolina for a nice starter home would not even buy me a run down shack in a poor neighborhood in California.

I loved the state. It was a beautiful place to live. That being said...I hated the way house prices ballooned up. I used to live in Redding. Most of my time there it was a nice little town. Then a lot of people from the south began moving or retiring there. House prices went way up, population went way up, and it grew into a monster. Sadly, that is the case all over California. Its a real shame.

Being a 5th technology Californian now residing in Texas...properly what am i able to assert. I pass over it! specific fee of residing is somewhat greater in CA and maximum all and sundry is somewhat nutty (some people culmination besides), yet once you % something you will discover it or do it there! From surfing to snowboarding and the delicacies is with out evaluate! you could circulate to between the final zoos interior the international or can circulate to a on line casino and do some playing. you could no longer beat the selection of ecosystem from the jagged cliffs to the mountains to the sandy beaches. I undergo in concepts tenting interior the redwoods while i replaced right into a infant. they have hurricanes and tornadoes right here! Tornadoes scare the hell out of me! The mid-west & New England get blizzards, the East Coast & Gulf Coast get hurricanes & floods. i'm questioning of shifting lower back to California!

Although I'm a lifetime Southern California native, I like Northern California and I love the Big Sur. We've got the best sunsets on this side of the continent.

I love it! I've been here for over 2 years now, but many more times spent visiting. No blizzards, tornadoes, sub-zero temps. After all these years, I've only felt one miniquake. Nothing damaged. I'm not terribly worried about an earthquake.

I'm in the North Bay area, and it's gorgeous. I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Love the weather--at least we don't get tornadoes and hurricanes here (not to mention yearly blizzards that the east coast gets)

Hate the high cost of living. Sucks that a 2 or 3 bedroom house costs over $500,000.

I think northern CA is nice. I am not crazy about the southern part and I do not like LA (sorry). SF is beautiful but the hills and earthquakes are a little weird. Don't mean to be critical. The people are cool.
