The Ideal Gas Law states: PV=nRT. This is a four variable equation. As pressure (P) increases or decreases volume (V) decreases or increases, the amount of material (n) increases or decreases, or the temperature (T) increases or decreases. In addition, any combination or V, n or T is allowed. The only thing that won't change is R, which is the Gas Constant.

Also, you get weather :)
High pressure pushes the clouds away, and low pressure spirals them in. The sharper the difference between two neighboring bodies of air, the more violent the effect.

Phase changes. Gas could become solid or liquid depending on the atmospheric pressure.
CO2 will become liquid when exposed to high pressure (ie: CO2 tankers) and C02 gas becomes dry ice when exposed in extremely high pressure (which then turns into gas when placed in "normal" pressure)
