Either gender could possibly survive without the other. If all the men were wiped out in one moment, all the best female scientific minds would start working on how to reproduce. The same if men were the ones left.

The important to remember though is the chromosomes. Women are XX and men are XY. If all the women were gone, men could make more, they could create XX babies. If all the men were gone, women would not have any Y chromosomes to make more men.

Artificial wombs have already been tried (not with humans), they had limited success but could theoretically be perfected.

I don't think they could ever come up with artificial eggs, however. They might be able to use frozen eggs but they'd of course be "real," not artificial. But could they come up with an artificial way to convey DNA and all that? Theoretically, perhaps. We're a long way off (I hope).

If they could actually do all that, it would be a cold existence. Growing inside a machine? Yuk. The psychological implications aren't pretty.

Yes, it is absolutely true. Also the same way for women. If no males existed, they could use artificial sperm... In fact, it may be better than the real thing for them, because they could choose hair color, eye color, height, weight, build... It would be interesting to see the "Selective Offsprings" of women.

What about the eggs? Where did they come from? God?

It would be easier for women to live without men. All they need are frozen sperm.

NO..unless before the girls run out..they can harvest their eggs and preserve it somewhere for later use..and i guess when that time comes...they might have invented...in vitro pregnancy too...who knows..but i think...men will run out first...because they have bad habits more than we do...lol
