Some people like to categorize things such as people. By placing people into identifiable groups based on their behavior, it gives the labeling person a greater sense of control.

Labeling people is judging them, with ringing affirmative that one person is in "this group" and another person is "over here in my group", etc. It seems to be the human way, sadly. We can try to change this but we easily fall right back into this behavior. Interesting and troubling. Good Question!
