i totally agreed with ya mate
AFI and Greenday, from being real punk rockers, now they're too overated/commercial!
Same for Nickelback, jesus...way way too commercial. I still luv their stuff though. the song 'how you remind me' is their best.
Papa Roach, ya i know, from being extremely nu metal (good) now they're emo :-(, suxs
Deftones, Start off with a big bang, i cant comment on their new stuff coz i havent listen to it yet. Hope its good ;-), they rock
Red hot chili peppers and Guns N Roses are two of my fave rock bands of all time, rhcp's new album isnt that good though, i gave it 6/10. And yep, cant wait for Chinese Democracy, Slash please Return!! and IZzy too

I agree on RHCP and Deftones but really, what's wrong with the other three? I like emo bands because I understand them. Papa Roach isn't exactly like he used to be so I don't like him as much but I love AFI's album (Decemberunderground) and I haven't heard anything recently from Green Day...

I'll go back a little further.
REM has been crap for a long time now.
The Who are coming out with a new album, its supposed to be good?
The Rolling Stones new albums are crap, but they still rock
Metallica is crap, though I never liked them much anyway
Guns N Roses will be crap, unless they reassemble the band to include Izzy and Slash, otherwise they will be a joke

AFI - don't know em
Green Day - hate all but 1 song
Papa Roach - they're ok
Deftones - don't know em
Red hot chili peppers - can live w/o hearing em
I've always been a fan of GNR so it'll be interesting to hear their new material..if it's like their 1st album great...if not, i probably won't bother w/it.

Veering extra interior the process baroque-ish pop/rock, i might advise Elliott Smith's very final 3 albums (XO, confirm 8, From a Basement on the Hill ... and do not forget the main mandatory music, "go away out distress" from the effective Will looking soundtrack). no longer "finished-on" rock, however the a number of inner maximum lyrics and fantastic music you will ever hear to. i'm particularly satisfied i found out it.

AEROSMITH
Started showing signs of crappiness when they started doing lousy movie/sappy ballads, & throwing WAY too many horns into the songs.
