My friend sara and i have been pretty close since 4th grade... We are in 11th grade now. Back in 7th grade all my friends had boyfriend so i was like yeah i have a boyfriend too! cause i was young and stupid. And everyone kept asking me questions about him so i kept saying all this unrealistic crap like he has a hottub in his room. SOoo there was this annay chick and she never believed me back in the day and sara acted like she did but would always be sarcastic and say things like So hows you boyfriend....now this was 4 years ago and she still talks about it. Im embarrassed that i even made up that story years ago and she ( not beliving me anyway) keeps asking me aboout it like soo what ever happened with that boy and the hotub. EVEN NOW SHE STILL SAYS STUFF and i told her i was like idk we stopped talking Now i have a boyfriend ..a real one lol and she dosent belive me...he goes to another school and anytime i say anything about him which is rare she's like needs proof.....

You were young and immature when this happened. Sounds like she is still young and immature. How about getting a new friend?

You should not keep lying about it! Just tell Sara, "You know what? I did something really silly and immature when we were in 7th grade, I just made that boy up... I'm sorry I've lied to you all this time but I was just really embarrassed. Can you ever forgive me?" The more you lie about it the harder it gets to tell the truth. Which it sounds like she already knows anyway. At least fessing up to it will help-a little- your damaged character.

Come out and tell her you made up the story because of your insecurities, but now that you have matured you no longer feel the need to do such things. You have no obligation to show her proof. Keep talking about your boyfriend and the next time she says anything about the past mention to her that is the reason why she will never meet him.

Man, this chick was 'trouble' way back when, wasn't she? (God, don't ya hate girls that hate ya, tho? she darn sure does.) WHO needs her, right? right! Hey, ya know what I want ya to say to her? This'll kill ya.. Play her bluff! Say: "hey! I made all that up cause I wanted YOU to like me.. think I was popular! SO what do you think about that, huh?" then add, yeah I did make it up but know what? I got a hot, KOOLEST boyfriend in the world now.. for real! Want me to see if he's got a 'friend?' (for ya?) See how that one comes off with her, huh? (Don't care too much what friends think.. and I know I KNOW I was young once too.. I'm old 53/F gramma now, lol.. that it's rough to unplug yourself from caring what others think.) Girls are roughest on one another. (You know, I tell my kid that everybody else that's 'buggin' em' is really trying to do something.. they are 'curious' if what THEY SAY will influence ya.. if you will do what 'they tell ya to do.. what they say..' and like that kinda stuff..) YOU don't need anybody! (look into myeyes.. hypnotism time, hon!) ... peace out

You should tell her that it emberasses you. My best friend and I have been friends since 2nd grade. I have done a NUMBER of dumb things and so has she. If you two are close friends and she is emberassing you, you need to let her know. Honesty is a good thing for this. No one should feel belittled and emberassed in a friendship. Friends are meant to support you, laugh at you, but not hurt you. Talk to her.

How about telling her to cut the crap. You and her both know you lied so you may as well just say so and then maybe the sarcasm will stop. She might start to see you as an honest person from them on.

like the boy who cried wolf, huh? trying giving her proof of your new REAL b/f and tell her she needs to get over it or there will be some serious problems. let her know this upsets you alot. look into the future, not back in time.

You do not have to give any one proof, you should not have started it, Why do you have to prove to her, that you have a boyfriend. and since she is in another school, forget her. Remember just because someone asks you a question, does not mean that you have to answer it.

tell her that you were not ready to give yourself willy nilly to just anybody just because your friends were doing it.this may put her on the backstep.hope this goes k for you.in a couple of yrs you wont even remember it im sure,in the meantime keep your "friend"busy with being the best in all you do.
