Well if you are of the male persuasion, I can say what you're probably gonna do, get really drunk, ***k her and pretend like it never happened, and tell your buddies you scored - but NEVER with who. Sorry a little tangent. Just tell her you are interested in someone else and that you can be friends (the "friends" word is a sure sign she should get).

Dont hurt her feelings just because she's fat. You should be lucky someone likes you even if you're cute. You dont seem to cute within! Be nice she has feelings to. Let her like you. If it gets out of hand...tell her gently (I'm not interested).

why is this in books and authors? don't be mean to the girl. she can't help it if she is ugly and i don't think you want to be the one that completely wrecks her confidence
