It seems that the whole music industry makes their money by slamming Bush in one way or another (Eminem, Radiohead, Dixie Chicks, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.). It's funny that Neil Young's dead career is only resurrected when a Republican that he can write a song and complain about is elected. If these musicians get their wish and get a Democrat as president, what will they belly ache about then?
Wouldn't it benefit their pocketbook to keep a Republican in office? Makes you wonder who they really vote for behind that curtain.
What do you think?

Amazingly, late last year I saw an Asian restaurant near where I live called "Ghengis Kahn." I was shocked. Did these people not know that Ghengis Kahn is considered by history to be one of the most despicable and ruthless leaders of all time?? I began to wonder whether people in China would someday, maybe 700 years from now, have a restarurant named "Hitler's". Reality is very weird sometimes!

What will musicians do when GW Bush is gone? Well....

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder."

Perhaps they will sing his praises. Perhaps the song will grow louder over several hundred years, too.

Reality is very weird sometimes!

No matter what kind of party is in office someone will find something to complain about. No one is perfect in each others eyes and it's not just Republicans that make mistakes. Musicians will still make money off of the next president we have in office. Don't you worry!

whoever is president has nothing to do with how musicians make money. they will just make fun of the next guy. no matter how good or bad he is. musicians dont care anything about politics. they may sing or rap about it, but it doesnt mean anything. they do what they do to appeal to the masses. if more people are against something they will hop on the wagon and make music based on that, so the people who are in agreence with the similarities will like the music. its simple as that. musicians are in the business to make mony. they have advisers and people who tell them what is hot and what is not. once they get the info that if they make music on a certain subject then the money starts rolling in. they are just like politicians, they are in it for the popular vote. they want to be liked and they want money and they will do anything to have it.

They make a living like always. The role of the bard is as old as the hills. They play for who pays for dinner if they are smart, and play for the art if they have a day job. They play for the art if they have independent financing. Like a scholar, they play to record moments in history and struggle and joy, and often eat beans everyday which would be better for most of us anyway

I'll be glad when he leaves, because musicians will be forced to write about something NEW. And by "new" I mean "the next president." It's sad how uncreative and unoriginal music is today.
