Yes I beleive they should but they should not be allowed to go on to the internet unless its required for the class

I think it is very practical, as a college student new textbooks every year cost about $100 or more each, software is easy to update and also easy to copy. I think they're just worried that people will do just that and copy the software, and the book companies wouldn't get any money then.

I really like laptops, and they beat having to carry around a 30 pound bookbag anyday. Plus, a laptop can also carry notes, projects, assignements, etc.

However, laptops are never 100% reliable. You never know one day when you go to boot up your system and, woops, it crashes. Another problem is if you drop a laptop, you might be in trouble (not with the school, with your assignments). Books are usually more durable.

Nope! except if the laptop is without internet access, otherwise students would be browsing other websites while pretending to be taking notes.

no. generation before didnt have laptops and are better educated than the kids in school today
