you cant get a job till your 16. Maybe 15, but it's usually 16. But you could get a job when your 14 like these...
baby-sitting
dog-sitting or walking
lawn-moing, gardening and things like that.
maybe if you are old enough you can work at a grocery store and bag items or something like that; that's where a lot of teenagers start off besides working at the mall.

Being a paper girl is something you can do at 14 yrs old. For a job such as a cashier at a grocery store, you need to be at least 16 yrs of age. Even when you turn 16 in a couple of years, you will still need an ID (Indentification) card to prove your age, and they'll do a background check just to make sure that you can legally work i.e. having a clean record; no felonies or misdemeanors whatsoever. Hope that helps!

Being a waiter usually has a fairly decent wage & they would be quite likely to take on someone your age.

Or how about as a store assistant, they'd train you & it would be the sort of job you could carry on through school/college/university especially with the bigger stores where they have premises all over the country. If you like it enough you could go on to be supervisor/store manager etc.

Set your sights higher than McDonalds!

I think in most states, kid can't work for "mc Donald's" until they are 16. Rightfully so, any younger is too young for a serious job.
But, a community service type job like yard work for one's neighbor or some office base services with some degree of independence and low stress would be good.
One will have to work most of one's life. Why rush?
