I am sure people think reiki is a joke, but in my experience it does work. It puts your system in "balance" and when your body is in balance your organs and systems work as a team and it makes you feel better and helps your body stay healthy. Think about it if your car is out of whack it doesnt run right does it? :)

I think there are other things that are better. Try Network Spinal Analysis. Or massage. Or THE RELAXATION RESPONSE (Herbert Benson).

I think lifestyle adjustment has the most effect, in conjunction with any of these things, including reiki. If you're sick, or grievously unhappy, then you probably need to do something differently. That's a responsibility that no practitioner will be able to relieve you of. But their disciplines might help you to see what is the best thing to change for yourself.

I know a 'reiki master', who gave me some type of cranial adjustment, it didn't do anything whatsoever.. But then again, if you believe in something enough, it'll work.

It is proably the biggest joke going that people actually get paid to perform.
