The United Nations (UN) is an international organization whose stated aims are to facilitate co-operation in international law, international security, economic development, and social equity. The UN's most visible public figure, and the representative head, is the Secretary-General, currently Kofi Annan. On 13 October 2006, South Korean Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon was approved by the United Nations General Assembly as the world body's eighth secretary-general and the first Asian to hold the post since 1971. Ban will assume the title on 1 January 2007.

The UN has six official languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish) but only two working languages (English, French).

yeah! drag out everyones misery, with a lot of rehtoric and distruth, and misdirections. that realy does not do any good. no matter how good they try to make it look. aka: the subtle beasts of the fields. but this is only if you want the real truth.
