well, you dont download backgrounds. you need to understand HTML. but, anyways. here are some sites to go to....

on the katies layouts one, you have to add her, and the layouts are girly, but, it'll help you get access to other layout sites on myspace.
and with layouts, when you have the code, copy & paste into your "i'd like to meet" section.

my favorite is www.myspacepimper.com it has them allready premade all you do is copy and paste.
