I don't think so, and I think you should use baby rats or field mice. They are really ugly and are cheaper than hamsters (as I know from personal experience)
P.S: Don't let my friend from school hear you say you wanna feed a tarantula a hamster. He'll go ballistic! He is a REALLY big lover of hamsters. LOLZ

What about crickets instead of hamsters?
You're not feeding your tarantula, baby hamsters just cause you hate hamsters, are you?

It is definately not illegal, unless the animal is from the wild or endangered. A lot of rats get sold at pet stores specifically for this purpose.

No, feed away. You can also get "pinkies", which are made just for this. They're baby mice - quite cute and very tasty.

LOL I don't think there's a law for it. Why not feed it baby rats? They're cheaper and uglier.
