All the answers above mine are right. Its best to give the customary two weeks notice so it doesn't come back to bite you later. Sometimes bosses get angry because you're leaving... just stick it out and be as pleasant as possible. Take the high road and do the right thing.

I can understand how you feel. You sound like a very young person.
I suggest you give pleasantly a 2 weeks notice. Think about a few years in the future, when you may have to complete an application for a job, and you need to list all your previous employers and reasons for leaving.

You don't owe your present employer anything, including any notice of termination.
Common courtesy, though means that they would expect you to give that notice, no matter how much you hate the job. It further means that if you quit, that way, you will have burned a bridge behind you. You may, or may not ever come across any of your former co workers, but, if you do, it will not be on friendly terms.
These people you are leaving may be potentioal customers or supplliers, some day. Or, they may be in positions of influence in your future. You may be rememberd as that person who didn't even have the courtesy to give notice.
But, as I mentioned, you don't owe them anything, any you may not care about what kind of social damage they can do to you.

The respectful way is to give 1-2 weeks notice. You may come across your boss again someday. Never burn bridges. The new place will also feel more comfortable with that because you do have good ethics.

i did it and it made me look real bad after when i had to pick up my last check. Give them your 2 weeks notice so they won't be as jerks to you. I'm actually going through the same situation right now. My boss thinks i'm screwing her husband and they are trying to push me to quit so- i'm gonna find another job and say screw them but in your case- you should give them the 2 weeks though

Don't burn bridges, also the people hiring you should appreciate your consideration for the other business, and expect the same from you regarding their position, so it's much better to give notice.
