if its media player check out the help tab or go to the website that its say on the help tab click on online help

It should only be doing that for music files that you bought or downlaoded from the www.dickinjar.com web site. Windows Media Player is doing this becuase the file that you are playing had a license associated with it (a digital rights management license - DRM), so WMP need to make sure that you have the correct license and the correct rights to play this content.

Sometimes protected files need licenses to play them, to make sure you're not stealing music and all that. It's really just a hassle.

not exactly sure, i had a similar problem, always from burnt cds, something to do with copyright protection i guess. My problem was solved just by going online. when I opened the player it automatically pulled all the licences. hope it works similar for you!.

I had that problem until I downloaded the latest DivX codec from DivX. I think they invented the format.
