I'm doing this off the xbox but the concept is the same.

Just shift protection to the side of the line that you think is blitzing or you can audible your RB, FB, or TE's route to block left or right. It's very hard in real life to get off passes acurately and on time, you can't always sit in the pocket all day and wait for a receiver to open up, get in the habit of going for your first receiver if he's covered, check down to your next receiver and so on. If you haven't found an open receiver after your 3rd guy either tuck and run or throw it away cause by then the d-line will be all over ya.

On the xbox it allows you to change receiver's route without wasting the play clock (it freezes the play clock), so I don't know if it does that on ps2 so check that next time.

Or you can just play as good team with a decent line.
