wherever i am i always see someone crossing their legs (at the knee) i've seen so many people do it mainly women. my gilfriend always crosses her legs when she sits no matter what she is wearing. i was just curious why people do it, and do you notice when you do it, or is it out of habbit? Also, reasons beside not letting their ***** show please.

It's never been proper for girls to cross their legs because it's sassy. Ankles maybe, but even that has been fairly recent. My grandmothers were always taught to keep the feet together but not to cross anything. I think we just do it because it feels comfortable. Your crotch is hidden and you don't have to concentrate on keeping your feet together. Crossing your legs at the knees does damage your blood vessels. I can personally attest to that.

Ha ha, I am currently crossing my legs..
I think it is out of habit, I personally find it comfortable, it keeps my legs occupied otherwise they'd be tapping or do something else to annoy one of my co-workers. But, it really is weird, its probably an age old tradition to be lady like that is now instilled in our heads, people are so habitual.

it can be habitual but it is also a thing of comfort women generally do not feel comfortable with there legs spread a part like a big old hairy biker i think men who cross there legs at the knee look so gay (my son isn't gay but god he looks it when he sits there with his legs crossed at the knee)

yes its a habit, i think its more comfortable because i do it so much
some people may do it to look "proper" im not sure when people first started crossing their legs, lol
you also take up less space... unless you sit with your legs squeazed together(uh no) haha

well... girls to it to keep their balance. have you ever closed your eyes while standing up and feel off-balance? well girls get that too when sitting. Guys i honestly do not know. They should physically not b able to cross their legs because they do not develop hips as women do.

Because they think that it is Sexy. Crossing your legs stops the blood flow and with time can cause serious circulating problems

it just probably a habit of most women. i cross my legs too. guys cant do that because it'll look weird and they cant.

because for girls it is more proper to sit with your legs crossed it is not proper to sit with your legs open
