try pawn shops, bargain shops, and e-bay. or, rent a 70s costume at a costume shop. better yet, if you're creative, search the web and make your own! you could also ask your parents, grandparents or your friends if they have anything you can use. happy searching!

The cheapest bet is Thrift Stores. Goodwill usually has the highest prices, but you can find some decent stuff in there. I got my brother a pair of polyester brown pants and a matching 70s cowboy type shirt for under $10. I find that the smaller local charity type stores get a lot of vintage stuff. I guess it's all the grannies cleaning out their closets.

Another possible bet is freecycle. To find one in your local area check out http://www.freecycle.org. I've managed to get clothing, baby items, and tons more through just asking on freecycle. People get rid of stuff all the time.
If you're in a larger city, most will have at least one or two vintage shops, but these tend to be kind of pricey.

Thrift stores and clothing stores that carry vintage clothes are great places to find 70's items. Good luck and have fun at your party

If you have time, buy it online. Search any popular costume website. One website that had a lot of costumes for everything (and I saw a bunch of 70's outfits) is BuyCostumes.com.
