Yes it is....that happened to me and I freaked out! I went to my doctor and she prescriped an ointment for the irritation. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. i don't have the name right now but ask your doc. about it. i've learned the best thing to do with yeast infections is to keep the area clean and don't scratch. that spreads the infection and makes it itch even more. buy Cetaphil wash to keep it clean...hydrocortizone cream (1%) to help the itching...and Monistat 3 day treatment. be sure to keep yourself laying down so the cream doesn't come out. (it itches alot more if you move around and the cream comes out)

Good luck! hope this helps.

It is possible I have a friend who while she was pregnant developed a yeast infection and was afraid to see her doctor because she thought it was an std. She allowed the yeast infection to get so bad that she started scratching and rubbing and she rubbed it raw and she started to bleed. It sounds like you may need a prescription medication for your yeast infection. Call your doctor and tell him/her what is going on and the will help also there are external itch creams that are offered over the counter that will help with the external itch.

Are you sure it is a yeast infection? The only thing that would bleed if you scratched it would be herpes, because these are little blisters. Scratching them would cause them to break and bleed. I would have it checked out.
