My female friend is coming from out of town and staying in Santa Monica. Anybody know someplace that has good food but not too expensive? Maybe $30 - $50 per person max.

The place doesn't have to be fancy or too romantic because she's just a friend, but I do want to go some place where we don't have to shout to keep up a conversation. I havent seen her in 8 years so someplace that's a good place to eat and catch up would be nice. Will probably be going out on a Friday
.
Anybody? I'm not too keen on the Santa Monica neighborhoods.
I live in the southbay.
Your help is very much appreciated!!

I've been to WARSZAWA on Lincoln Blvd. just shy of Santa Monica Blvd and it is the perfect place for a nice dinner and a pleasant atmosphere for conversation and rekindling old relationships. The food is Continental and they always have several daily specials. The descriptions on the menu are fairly accurate and your server will answer any questions you have about anything. It is also within your price range. Santa Monica is starting to get very, very pricey.

You can go to Toppers, it's on the top floor of a hotel (I think it's the Radisson Hotel) it has a great view the food is decently priced, after dinner you can take a walk to the Santa Monica Promenade which is down the street, walking distance.
