I'm thinking of selling my art through ebay or other. I work in pastels, which are dry and need to be protected from smudging
and minimal "dust loss". I already spray them, and would matt them, but I was wondering if there's another way to ship them --
without expensive and heavy frames -- that has become standard for this kind of work. I will be voting on best answer.

I'm not sure about the safest way to package these to prevent damage/smudging/etc. but I can tell you a little about shipping,

www.usps.com (or call them at 1-800-ASK-USPS)
They move most of the Ebay stuff...
They offer delivery confirmation online or by phone, signature service (where they require a signature instead of leaving stuff on the doorstep,) insurance, money back guarantee on Express Mail next day to most locations, and depending on the size and shape of the artworks you may even be able to use their free boxes & tubes if you go with Priority Mail.

Good luck!
